Happy 2015 and What Lies Ahead…

Happy New Year, everybody out there, it’s going to be an amazing year. I wanna take the opportunity to look back and reflect on what an amazing year 2014 was. Really had the opportunity to connect with my audience and understand how we can take my business, my podcast, and this blog to the next level.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I have transitioned from working in corporate for over 11 years, then I became a freelance web designer for the last three years. In the last year, I really started to fine-tune my platform. My brand, AlexDesigns.com, has grown and become recognized as a top influential expert in the conversion rate optimization space, and I’m really thankful for all the people who have been following me for this long and have really helped me grow in my career.

Screen Shot 2015-01-02 at 12.47.22 PM2014 was an amazing year. I was able to connect with so many people from my podcast, my videos, and the different conferences that I was able to go to. Not only was I able to really improve my networking, and everyone that I met, I am so appreciative. I also was able to release a book, create a mastermind group, release my first product, a course, and understand exactly and start to really define where my company is going in the future.

For 2015, I want to continue that focus on improving the branding for AlexDesigns. In the past years, I never really focused on my own company that much, as I really only focused on my client-related work. This year, it’s gonna be about fine- tuning AlexDesigns.com and figuring out how to take it to the next level. I have experimented with different ideas, with changing the name, with different agencies, and found out that it was more beneficial to just focus on the brand, Alex Designs.

So going forward, I’ll be really fine-tuning the perspective of what Alex Designs means, where we come from, and what we offer. To do that, I’ll be starting out with basically reinventing myself. We’ve started out with a new website design, and now that’s the platform to really build on the branding further when I go through and fine tune the story of what Alex Designs is all about, where we came from, and what we actually have to offer. This is starting with a process that is called Buyer Legends. This process is created by Bryan and Jeffrey Eisenberg of BuyerLegends.com. We’ll go through the process of designing our specific personas or target audience – the people who visit our blog, listen to our podcast, watch our videos, and become our clients. We’re gonna go through the process of how they visit our site, what they read, what they watch, and what it means to actually hire Alex Designs as a company. We’re creating a legend for Alex Designs that will help us fine tune this story that we’re creating for this brand. This is a process that we are going through right now that I am doing myself, along with my VA, Rica. We are putting together and fine tuning the story of Alex Designs that will come out soon.

In the short term, we have specific goals that we want to accomplish in 2015. For us, we’re really looking to double everything – our workload, visitor base, readership, podcast listeners, email subscriptions, traffic, and ultimately, our conversion. Because 2015 is gonna be all about doubling. I am looking into releasing more books and really accomplishing a lot more in a shorter period of time.
