This entry is part of a series of posts about marketing optimization, as well as of the marketing optimization process.
Optimization does not just take a lot of hard work. For you to be able to optimize as efficiently as you possibly can, you need to have the right mindset for it – the growth mindset. This means that you need to look at the bigger picture in terms of thinking about your business. You need to realize that people no longer buy the way they used to, which means you have to have a deeper, broader understanding of your business vertical. This means understanding who is visiting your website and where they’re going so you can steer them towards the right direction. Optimizing perfectly means understanding exactly how your company fits into your market.
Having the right mindset helps you make better decisions, which in turn results in better output in a shorter amount of time. It might take some getting used to at first, but when you have eventually mastered having a growth mindset, everything else will follow. It all boils down to having a customer-centric mindset – putting yourself in your customers’ shoes and understanding what is going through their minds as they visit your site and contemplate on making a purchase. It means understanding how they use your site and how they perceive the information that they get. When you figure this out, you can make better decisions and expect better results.
How can you adapt a growth mindset? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section!
